View Full Version : best way to prime the oiliing system???

I am finally ready to fire this b#(*ch up, but want to prime the oil system, what is the best way to do that??? Pull the coil packs? Pull fuel pump fuse??? Pull the injection fuses???? I would like to avoid screwing up the computers will "false" codes if possible....

Thats how we do all our motors.
Crank it a few seconds at a time til you get some oil pressure(may take a while with a new engine) then fire it up. Run it for 15 mins or so then change the oil.:lol:

Pull fuel pump fuse and pull coil wire off. Crank for a bit till you see the oil pressure go up and then stop. Its a good idea to fill the oil filter with oil before installing it if possible.
Pull the dizzy, get a drill attachment and pump :).
As for these new cars. Just fire it up anyways. Youll prob cause more damage cause either way the oil isnt being pumped for the first revolution or two. With it firing it up, the revs will go up, improving oil pressure over just cranking pressure.

we fill the oil filter all the way up it takes a while than you can crank the motor and you will see oil pressure almost right away jz
