Arthur Ave in the Bronx, or Mulberry St down in lower Manhattan? My wife and I want to go in for our anniversary, and am looking for whichever one is more realistic. My wife was born in Italy and moved here when she was 3. Obviously, it ain't gonna compare to the real deal, but which area is nicer to walk around and find a good place to eat?

Mulberry St. FTW...it's all about Lombardi's! You have to go there, best pizza in the world. I think they even lay claim to being the first pizzeria in the US.

Sounds like it's Mulberry FTW then. :) Wife and I are going tomorrow, should take us 15 minutes after we drop the kids off at my in-laws down in Cliffside Park. Go through Edgewater and Weehawken, and hop in the Lincoln Tunnel.

I'll let ya know how it turns out!
