Basically it guarantees you to be one of the first to have one. People with way too much $$$ jump on those deals to boost their ego.

Yup. You pay your 20 large, and that's OVER whatever the sticker price of the car is (I don't care what GM says, my guess is 30K+ for the new Camaro). Just to be able to say you bought one of the first ones on the road, yippee. I love the new Camaro, but I wouldn't spend that kinda coin. Wait a few months for the hype to pass, and buy one at a deal.
