Hey guys, im haven trouble with my head unit... it intermittantly cuts out and when it does my power windows dont work either... i cant figure a pattern when it does it it just does it once in a while, i check the ground and it looks ok although i didnt have enough time to trace it all back... any ideas what this could be, the head unit is an after maket one...

ALSO.... ever since i put my head unit in my audio quality is only good up untill a cirtain volume range if i try to turn it up any farther it starts to break up and sound distorted... now when i bought it they had crappy speakers in it and it was wired all weird so that their was no low range speakers in the rear seat... (i have the 10 speaker system)... so i had to rehook up all the stock speakers which i bought brand new from GM... the only speakers that arent brand new are the 2 in the doors.... any ideas why it breaks up like this...

Sounds like a bad ground or otherwise loose wire somewhere. Things like this usually can't be fixed without tracing through the wiring until you find the problem area....

ditto, its completely unrelated to the radio itself. just a wire that feeds to both the windows and the radio...

there is really no "problem" per se with your radio. sound quality just sucks when you put a aftermarket radio into a stock system. the stock system is designed strangely and aftermarket radios are designed to be run with other aftermarket stuff.
