that is pretty sweet :)
i hope they are working on something for the LSx platforms. that 6bolt bottom end would love overhead cams.

the only hold up i have heard about with the rotary heads is that they have trouble keeping up with larger engines. because of their design they are somewhat limited on how much air they can flow.
they are supposed to be the next big thing in the lower displacement engines. not sure if the technology can support a V8 though.

I'm pretty sure that Coates had a set of his rotary heads on a 5.0 Ford engine as a test mule.

Didn't you go and visit Coates about 5 years ago? Are they still dicking around with the rotary valves? I drive by that shop a couple times a week, and it almost looks like its abandoned.... "almost".... still a couple cars out front and a door open for ventilation.

Do you think its the kind of place I could just walk into and ask them for a tour????

I went by there, but they didn't want anything to do with me! I threatened to go on a hunger strike if they wouldn't let me in, but it didn't work. :)
