well its getting kinda close to the sept country fried steak meet and i ate at this place in mercer mall behind hooters called cheeburger cheeburger and it kicked ass the burgers were probably in the top 5 best ive had (with my special seasoned burgers being number 1) and they have kickass milkshakes ect so it was just a suggestion
another one is longhorn steakhouse in hamilton marketplace.... some kickass food and not all that expensive plus a full selection of beer for the drinkers
if theres any intrest in either of them i figured either bill or john could put up a poll with our choices for the people who will definatly show up

I vote for burger X 2. I was at Longhorn last week, great meal, but I have to think it's a bit pricey, for two of us with apps, steaks and "a few beers" cost $70.
jimmyboy8301
08-29-2006, 05:12 PM
yea exactly a "few beers" that will be expensive anywhere

Cheeburger Cheeburger is great. I'm a five time pounder at the one in Frazer PA. Some places go for quality, others for quantity, and it's rare to get both but they do it quite well.
For monster burgers, though, the Clinton Station Diner can't be beat.

Ok....I'm going to put my two cents in......Longhorn Steakhouse in the Marketplace is good, if u don't mind waiting 90 mins. No matter what night of the week it is. Cheeburger Cheeburger by Mercer Mall is great, good food good price......but its kind of small....but both places are good choices.......

should be fine theres plenty of parking and on a tuesday night it shouldnt be crowded plus ill call and make some reservations.... as for longhorn who knows that place just opened and is contstantly crowded so im leaning more towards cheeburger ill put up a poll on mon or tuesday unless bill or john want to

That Longhorn is always jammed anyway, being new. Maybe next spring. Or at least when the Outback opens on 130. Outback>Longhorn.

I've never been there but I'm told it is the old "The Wiz" near the Olive Garden. The group of building alone Rt#1, not actually in the strip mall of stores.
I'll in a black GMC Stepside with NHRA plate. John

Look at the neat-o map (http://maps.yahoo.com/;_ylc=X3oDMTExNmIycG51BF9TAzI3MTYxNDkEc2VjA2ZwLWJ1 dHRvbgRzbGsDbGluaw--#mvt=h&maxp=search&trf=0&lon=-74.68192&lat=40.29517&mag=1).
Technically, it is the white building that says “Mercer Mall” on it. The front of the building is The Olive Garden. Going from north to south (your right to left looking at the screen), from the interchange you have Canal’s Beer Store/Clothing Store & The Hooters building on either side of the first entrance (this shot is old – it still has the log gone NY Deli building near the road where Champs is going in).
Then the O/G & the old Wiz building where CBCB is at the 2nd entrance.
Good luck. If you can’t find it, you are a knuckle head.

**** a chilis...honestly the food wasnt that bad...the problem was the fact they mixed up our drinks, mixed up our FOOD, then we all ran out of drinks because of the mason jar drink holders  then he fugged up getting the drinks for everyone again...$13 for a goddamn cheezeburger onion rings & a drink+bad service=small tip=not impressed=elsewhere next month...my vote is for Texasroadhouse in bensalem bishes 8-)

I agree, that place is off the list! What kinda of place doesn't have County Fried Steak any how?????? And at that price for a few bucks more we could have went for Longhorn, oh well, my bad!
Guess we can head either north or south of Ewing next month.

i was very dissappointed with the food and service. The burgers came BEFORE the appetizes. The drinks went un-refilled for most of the meal, and the burger wasn't as good as I was expecting. The best part of the dinner was the end, and actually the shake and soda were very good.

Nice time despite of the lackluster cuisine. We spent 45 minutes making fun of Jeff for picking volleyball over us, J/K. :) Chris aka 1QWIKBIRD showed with three of his buddies. Good guys, car nuts. I think they run the equivalent of an east coast monster garage from their house. :)
Who were the guys who sat at ‘the other table’? Too good for us? Did Pampered_Z offend? :)

clip....
that's funny, the monster garage reference.....its almost dead on....except its more monster than garage at times, you tend to learn alot about fabrication when you jam a v-8 into a 72 vega with a 4-sp (pro-shifted t-10 no less) but definitely knowledgable guys who can get you out of a jam....
actually, the lt1/a4 into the 86 regal swap looks like it came that way from GM...super clean install and runs like a champ. I think they are still doing some massaging of the tranny shift points, but otherwise its nice.

story?
Everyone at the table crumpled up the money to pay the bill... as usual.
Threw all the money at Justin to watch him smooth out the money cause he has OCD.
Waiter walks by and sees Justin with all the crumpled up money and declares to the table... "You guys suck!"
That phrase has stuck with the CFS (Country Fried Steak) meeting ever since.
