hockey sucks anymore. refs are horrible, they aren't allowed to fight much, and they keep changing the rules to try to help the watered down offenses not suck.
at least in football we get to see some people hit without a penalty being called.
GO STEELERS!!!

nothing "e" about it. ill let him tackle me, ive been tackled before by bigger guys then timmay  and nothing bad ever happened. however when we were playing roller hockey and and i got hit with the stick in the face that hurt a hell of a lot more, even a little blood came out. that was pretty sweet. but ill be gentler on the old guy. Ill cross check him in the back instead of his chest/face

tsar, i played hockey. i have been cross checked before, i know it hurts.
what i was refering to was the fact that professional hockey has been heading down hill for a long time. they rules keep getting more and more retarded to prevent fights, rough play, and even outright making certain defensive strategies illegal.
add to that the fact that the NHL prolly has the worst officiating in professional sports and most people will understand why i stopped watching a long time ago.
i played hockey for a while adn did get cross checked on a few occasions. it hurts, but not nearly as much as getting slammed to the ground did when i played rugby. frozen ground with no pads hurts a lot more than a stick whiel wearing pads.

well yea some of the rules suck, however there's more scoring now, and i think its still more exciting then watching then football, altho i do watch them both. I just hate all the brakes they take in between plays - its almost as bad as baseball which i can not stand. ohh and pads are for goalies
well gramps, i guess its different strokes for different folks.

that is why i prefer racing. not as much contact, but the action doesn't stop.
i would absolutely choose rugby over football or hockey, but it is hard to find on american TV.

wheres the love for the giants??? what happened to the loyalness of jersey ppl! lol:w00t: The Cowgirls don't stand a chance against the Giants witht their amazing new defense and the same great offense from last year, plus Eli has matured as a QB and him and Burress will be deadly...

i agree with this and tsar the brakes in between the plays are boring as hell, wich is why i dont watch foot ball and why I quit the team last year.

Choke artists? The Giants have 2 Superbowl rings, how many do the Beagles have? Go Giants! But I don't think Eli or Peyton will ever win a Superbowl, they just don't appear to be the right kind of quarterbacks for it.

i can see eli making it to a superbowl, just not with the giants. typical of the giants they have picked a few players in a few spots who are very talented and tried to fill in the rest of the spaces with, welll.....actually....nothing.
the tuna is with teh cowgirls now, they don't have a good d-line, there o-line is aging and very suspect.
eli has the talent, it will just be another season of him trying to prove it by throwing the ball while running for his life.
cowboys, don't even get me started. they have the most heartless hack show off receiver ever and no one to throw him the ball. the good news is that he made it to almost 1/3 of the training camp sessions, 1 day of the two week youth camp with his name on it(and it wasn't autograph day, he skipped that), and he only missed 5 team meetings.
the cowboys are gonna suck it up because T.O. is gonna be an even bigger distraction in dallas, a team with less experience and talent on paper than the philly team he derailed.
steelers are gonna need some good play making by backups to get through the first two ro three weeks of the season. starting QB is out for a week, #1 receiver is gone, starting dtackle goen for a few weeks, and they didn't do anything to add coverage in the secondary in the off season.
i think a lot is going to fall on the young shoulders of parker to get them through the first few games. he ahs the talent and the heart. the only question is if 4 NFL starts as the starting running back are enough to supply him with the knowledge to get it done. i am betting he will make sports ceneter with a few long runs :)
watch out for those saints. reggie bush will rob you of your beer faster than u can say looter!
