Explain what you like your cars to do?Would you rather have a drag set up or a handling set up or both?
enlighten me on different kinds of racing I can go out 1-3 times a month and perticipate in with my car.
Do you like show cars or do you like your car to be all go no show?
Im really intrested to see the different types of ways I can set my car up to do before I go out and buy more parts.
Right now I want to get a feel of different types of racing I could do or set my car up for.
I have seen fbody drifting. PRETTY COOL!! cept I can barely spin the tires now.
I have also seen drag racing. cool as hell!
I also wanna go to the next autox to see that.
Thanks,
Matt

My personal goal is to have a car that is a respectable beast in the 1/4 (11-12's), can hold its own in the twist & turns, and be an over all good looking car! One important thing though is that the car still has to be comfortable to drive and enjoy! I would never have one full blown set up. If I have to change the wheel/tire combo once in a while that works for me.
I'm almost there too!

i like my car to start, go in a straight line, stop and have nothing break. which is what it does 99% of the time.
matt you should get into oval racing i think you'd be good at that cause, you sure make my head spin in circles at times:lol:

Well Im in a awfully great situation right now.
I only have money invested into my exhuast and about 175 ish between the cam install kit(i cant return) and my intake manifold wich I traded for a radiater wich I badly needed.
so before I buy one more part, I want to find out what other types of auto racing a street driven car can compete in.

I want a car that sounds badass to me and could bring my parents back to the 60s. What it runs in the 1/4 isn't important, because I really don't care much.

goes fast, looks class, gets ass. all works well :-D

To me, it's gotta do everything; go fast, turn fast, and stop fast. It also needs to have creature comforts (power windows/locks, AC, and a stereo). For me, there's nothing better than wailing around an on-ramp at double the posted speedlimit and having enough power to merge with no issues whatsoever. :) And then, when some asshat cuts you off, you have enough braking power to toss your passengers through the windshield if they're not wearing seatbelts.

I'd like my car to go fast in a straight line as well as handle. Creature comforts aren't too high on the list since i haven't had a car with a/c in 3 years and the seats in my 2nd gen are one size/position fits all  And I'd rather it be more go than show. As long as theres no rust and it's all one color with some chrome thrown in, thats enough show for me

Vintage racer, a la Sunoco #6, just with more streetability in mind and a black/chrome look over navy blue with decals etc... Basically a car that I can take to open track days. 1/4 mile performance will be there if I need it and chassis tune for it.

The 10th is setup for both Strip/handling. run mid 12's on good day and out handle most C5's and still get over 22 mpg.

I like my car to be able to drive, and not break. So far, that hasnt happened :-( Other than that I want something that sounds good, looks okay, really moves, ehh brakes and stopping are over rated. Creature comforts, what are they? power accessories are just more things to fix!

chrome fire extinguisher FTW!!
I like drag racing. If I had more money I'd get a SECOND v6 (yea v6 you bitchasses) and make it a pure handling/auto-x car and make this one pure drag... but as of now, drag while still being a fully capable DD... like can still make emergency maneuvers and provide enough fun in twisties (yea even without the front swaybar its fine)

I want a car that can hold its own in almost anything, and still be something reliable and something I'm proud to drive.
I'm about a quarter of the way there...

I want my car to run and be ready to go whenever I sit in it, be a quick street car and handle well, as well as good looks. Right now I have a little of each.
