New breed of cop cars around....

In Collingswood just saw couple of days ago Dodge Charger running around with a Crown Vic. Plus in Trenton too. But am sure that I did see one somewhere in another area in S.Jersey.

I know the Trenton guys have them - my next door neighbor is a Trenton Officer. IIRC, he does not believe any are Hemi cars. And he is a car guy, so he knows the difference. V6-ers

I wish they had those patrolling the streets when I lived there. Woulda been handy when my stereo and all of my CD's were stolen out of my Camaro along with my roommates POS, barely running Buick Century (I'm still dumbfounded as to why they picked the Buick over my Camaro as a getaway car!).

up here in northern NJ, englewood is looking to get a few hemi chargers. Supposedly a few months back they had a pursuit with a new 300C and got smoked... the suspect got away, i think they said the plate was a NY temp and couldnt be read.

and a few months before that there was a police charger flyign through emerson. 60 in a 25 and over the double yellow. the car was not marked for a specific town, just said police in big red letters, no visible lights either. i swerved at him as he flew past me....*******

haven't seen any in collingswood yet but i go through there a lot. i know they have chargers in philly now, i see them on 95 a lot.

philly PD has had them for a few months now and they are Hemi chargers. i saw with my own eyes. my best friends uncle works highway patrol and was more than happy to show us...:D. they are pretty quick.

Haven't seen a popo Charger around my area yet. I'm guessing the Police ones will be like all other special police vehicles...modded to withstand long chases and keep up with modded cars?

if by modded you mean a v6 with no speed limiter and better tires, yes the trenton ones are modded.....
