http://www.bbbracing.com/genie/SmitfraudFix download everything in that folder
http://www.bbbracing.com/genie/combofix.exe Use that.

For best results, use both in safe mode. Read directions (readme.txt usually) how to use them. To get in safe mode, restart computer, and before it gets to the window loading screen, press F8 a number of times until it registers (otherwise you may miss the oportunity and have to restart again). Then go up to safe mode...DO NOT use with networking though.

Those 2 things will kill it. I've used both tools on 2 computers so far with a similar virus as to what you describe. Worked wonders.

It's one of the safe mode options. Pick just straight Safe mode.

reboot computer and hold shift+F8 ... when command prompt comes up, type "format c:" and hit yes. then insert boot disk and type "fdisk" and let us know when u get there. the virus should be gone.

If you searched for 'em and ran 'em, you should be fine.
