Well yesterday i went to get my car tuned on spray. My last tune was a mess and the guys at eastside re did it for free. I ended up makin 427 rwhp and 377 rwtq NA thast threw a 9inch and a N2o tune! :) On a 75 shot i made 498rwhp 488rwtq :) SO i am goin to bump that shot to 125 and well see what happens ;) Last night at island i finally hit 11's i went 12.2 @ 117 all night with a **** 1.9 60'. I usally pull 1.6-1.7. My tires are on there way out :( SO i had to hit 11's so i sprayed it but my window swithc is brokin and will only tunr on at 4500. So i went 11.8 and 121. This cam loves spray and the car felt really good! So i am hopein to get a new window switch this week so i can spray @ 3000rpm and bump the shot up. Hopefully next week well see low 11's. Its a full weight car to by the way :)

What was your full slip?
11.8 seems kinda slow for heads/cam + some spray....not knocking you or anything, I know it's a new setup.

o its very slow lol i want to be there if not better NA :) That was a 2.0 60' Last year before all the work i was pulling 1.6 1.7 i dotn no maybe my tries are gettin beat? I was happy with my trap 117 na and 121 with the 75 shot. But liek i said my window switch would not turn on till 4500-4800 for soem reason. SO hopefully this week i will get a new one and it will go on a 3000 when it should be! Then i can get a littel mroe seat time and she what she can do :)

Cool beans.
Only a 2.0 short time with a 9", 4.10's, and slicks? Did it feel like it was spinning, or just not leaving hard enough?

Ahh....well, play with the launch RPM and the air pressure, you'll get it sorted out.

glad to see they fixed that stuff for free for you...seems like it worked out well...im suprised you couldnt hit 11's NA with your setup though, even at full weight. Also if you planned on stepping to the 125 shot you really shouldve dynoed with it to see if your a/f is at least safe or did you?

Yea that code it was throwin was addin timin so the first kid thats tuned it didnt add anymore and that was thorwin off my tune. SO the owner re tuned it. I think i am at the right numbers? seems good for being threw a 9inch? idk. And i dotn get it either my trap speed is good for 11's 117? i would think. Maybe i just need the drvier mod? :( haha And the guys at eastside said if i stay with the jets suggesed and stay under a 200 shot i should be ok without the tune? i know nothin abotu tuneing but i do no i dotn want to go lean, what u think?

you really should verify your a/f when going to different jets...also consider a happy knob or something similar to retard your timing. Nitrous can be rewarding but you really need to treat it & its part correctly and don't skimp cuz those low dollar parts are always the ones that will cost you a motor.

yea i hear ya i mean i haev everything i can possibly get except for a timin tuner and i didnt get that bc i just wanted to tune the car for n20. everything else i have from fpss to wot switch, window switch, bigger fuel pump it should be pretty safe. now i am just not sure abotu bumpin the jets bigger

time to invest in a wideband...AEM & innovate make good inexpensive units with gauges.

well... you know how to fix that real quick ;)
personally, i would invest in something other than drag radials, if you have a 9 inch, pick up MT ET streets (NOT the radial kind), Hoosier Quick Time Pros or full out slicks.. any amount of time picked up in the 60' typically doubles in the quarter, if you can bring that 60' down a tenth or two, that should pick up .2-.4 up top.

yea i want to to slicks i was lookign at the swap meet for a used set but i am nto sure what size to get. I am at the top of 4th and the end of the 1/4 so do i need a smaller tire or a bigger one? i dotn want to chage my gears and i no on a 125 shto or even a 100 shot i will not make the 1/4 without shiftign into 5th :(

what do you mean by the top of 4th?...if your cam makes peak hp at say 6400 rpms you probably would want to trap @ 6500ish.
foff667

also remember bias ply's grow more then a radial would...so at the end of the track they might be a slightly taller tire then at the starting line.

then your currently geared/tire height is just about perfect to be honest. I would say ask around as to what other guys trapping at 121 are running bias ply wise with the same gear combo as your's & go from there.
