Hey all,
Im new to this site, and will be using it alot to look up various things. I have a 93 Formula I purchased in 1997. Still using it to this day as a daily driver and love it.
Where I live currently im banned from doing serious work on my car. Last time I tried I replaced upper and lower control arms, got a notice from the community if it wasnt done by end of business day, it would be towed from in front of my garage..
Ive tried various shops in the area. Cartek in Garwood, SLP in Toms River, some various locals for this and that.
With my current sched and enviroment im looking for a good shop to do various things, maybe replace headers again soon, suspension work, recently got the cat replaced and was raped $700 for a job that leaked and scraped over speedbumps.. That took 3 tried to get it right at that place..
Im in middlesex county/piscataway. Work in North NJ at the NY state border. I am willing to travel anywhere if the work is good enough. Anyone have suggestions of any places worthy of such tasks?
Thanks in advance-
J

Welcome! Your local Meineke can be very versital and do great work with your suspension, and possibly your exhaust system. But it sucks that you cant work on your own car. Meineke has been very reliable to me with most, if not, all my Fbodies. They've done my springs/shocks, and panhard bar. They've also done my oil changes since I'm VERY tied up at work in the autumn, leaving me no time to do my own oil. But this is just my 2 cents, so dont take it to heart. You may wanna post this up in the central section, since there are several members from the Piscataway/NB area and might know some shops thatll help u out. Good luck.

NVM I see you've done so

If you travel near Rt. 23 in the Wayne area there is a great shop there called STAGE 1. The guys are very cool, know there **** and have pretty reasonable prices. They have done nitrous work for me, as well as replaced my limited slip when I f'd it up at the track.

A second for Stage 1, they got my POS back up and running when I couldn't figure out a low oil pressure issue with the new cam, and they also set my rockers. Rob is a pretty nice guy so its defenitly worth dealing with them if you have time.
They also don't have a problem working on LT1's unlike many other local shops.
Where do you work btw?
