yea my HVAC vents are always stuck on the windshield defrost in both 3rd gens when on the heat settings. if i use the AC it goes to the dash vents but i can never get the heat to go down to the floor vents or dash vents. watta i need to do to fix this, i like my feet warm!

do you hear a vacuum leak comming from the hvac controls?

now that you mention it....on both cars it does make a hissing sound, every third gen ive had has done it so i assumed it was normal lol

theres 3 or 4 vacuum lines that run to the heater box and pulling vacuum on certain ones opens and closes the flaps inside of it. Default mode (no vacuum) is defrost mode.

Sounds like the lines off the back of the controls arent connected correctly

Vacuum lines! Or maybe the little reserve canister under the hood is n/g.

oo, that reminds me, i have that wiper cowl thing with the washer nozzles, come pick it up and its free, lol, i found it today

yeah i'll be around, i hope to be spraying my engine compartment, but at like 9-10 i'll be outside in my "junkyard" pulling a driveshaft. i should have a jack too laying around somewhere.
