I know of a few already. But is there anyone else here thats into shooting?

Im going over to the local PD to apply for my firearms lisence, so hopefully I can pick up a new rifle & handgun as soon as Im allowed to by Law.

Does anyone know of some good shooting ranges in NJ for pistol & rifle?

i got my rifle purchasing permit, but havent used it yet. i havent needed too, my stepdad's been collecting for a while, so i can just use his.

he belongs to a range and everyones real cool, last time i was there the guy asked me if i was under 13 , (i have a beard and am 23), i said yea and got in for free. i probably only go shooting once a year, but i wanted to get my permit while its fairly easy.

i would like to get my pistol permit, but i think its expires after 3 months, and i cant afford a pistol within the next 3 months, so...

I go to the range about 2x a month, if u wanna come sometime PM me, you're more than welcome to come with sometime if you want. Ask The Hammer, Ian, and (Chevelle) Jon about it, they have come with me before.

I used to go shooting once in a while when i was young. I've shot a shotgun at clay disks and rifles at a range. Ever since my bro broke his nose from a shotgun I kinda lost interest. The instructor told my bro to use his other eye to aim, and when the gun kicked back, it was right next to his nose and SNAP. lol to this day, his nose is still crooked.

Duh Martin, I knew you went shooting thats why I said I know a few people on here that do. Defenitly let me know whenever you plan on going to the range again. Im down. All I own right now is a silly .22 bolt Action and a Remington 12 guage pump.

Im hoping to pick up a Ruger Mini-14 in .223 for cheap, and eventually when it comes time for a pistol any 9mm will do for me, unless i can pick up a 1911 for dirt cheap.

my brother has a bunch of guns. he still shoots a lot and competes occasionally in high power/military rifle meets.

You can get an M1 through the CMP for pretty cheap just so you know man.

i own lots of guns mostly hunting stuff.. a few shotguns, rifles, muzzeloaders... i have 1 bushmaster .223, and also one glock 27 :) I worked at a sports shop since i have been 16 so i got lots of guns cheap ;) There is a nice range in bridgewater i have never been there but its indoor and they have a 200yrd rifle range under ground. Also there is shungun out by me probaly to far of a ride. I am a member there and they have pistol range inside, and 300 yrd rifle range, and clay bird shootin outside. There is also a real cool range in pa called sunset hill, you can rent just abotu anygun you can think of or brign your own... you also dont have to be a member :)

I don't own a gun, but I shoot at Classic Pistol in southampton PA every now and then. The Philly PD trains there, it's a very nice place. You can rent an MP5 if you want LOL.

Alex, you can get a Springfield Armory 1911A1 GI .45 for around the 550 mark, that's a pretty good deal. I'm probably gonna pick up either a SA GI .45 or Mil-Spec. Also if you're considering a .223 you could also look into an AR-15 platform. I personally don't have much experience with mini-14s but I know a lot of people don't like them, but then again a lot of people don't like ARs so take that FWIW. I like the versatility and styling of the AR myself that's why I bult my M4gery. Whatever you plan on buying tho, do your research, and shop around for price. Never rush a purchase, I did that and wound up paying about 200 dollars too much for my USP Tactical. I took my time, researched, and made good decisions and saved about 400-500 dolars building my M4 than if I had bought it.

there is a place a locally called bullet hole, if you google it I'm sure you'll find it.

I used to go shooting there with my brother before he moved. I shot his glock 45 and his 12 gauge shotgun there. It was funny because people gave us the strangest looks when I shot his 12 gauge with buck shots because it was so dam loud and pointless cause there really is no aiming with buck shots, as long as the gun was pointed at the target the bullets would hit it

Hey, any of you guys know of any ranges where they hold three gun competitions at? I know CJRPC has a few every year but I'm not a member there and other than that I know of a range in Calverton, NY that holds them but I'd prefer to not drive about 3.5 hours.

I gotta save up and join the CJRPC, they have a lotta great benefits.
