Ok guys I'm gonna have to let the cat out of the bag on this one. I've been looking at a shop that's for sale down in Hamilton. I'm still not sure the township is going to allow me to do what I want to there or not but in the meantime I wanted to find out some other info.
The place is on the Trenton side of Hamilton, on East State St. It's almost at the intersection of East State and Whitehead Dr. Do any of you know anything about this area? Is it safe? A lot of breakins, robberies, etc.? I've got a buddy who is a State Trooper down there and he says they arrest people in that area frequently, but I figure with Trenton that's to be expected.
Any input would be greatly appreciated. And I'll keep you guys updated with the situation as a whole on the building.

Mike I'll definitely take you up on that offer. I'm gonna call the township tomorrow to find out some more stuff and then I'll get the info over to you and see what you can dig up. Thanks.
Anyone else?

Now that you mention the intersection, I know exactly where that place is. It's really not that bad of an area, can't imagine that you would have much trouble. It really is very close to Mike's house....

My dad is a cop in hamilton and he told me to tell you, get a good alarm system, put some bars on your windows, and be out of there by dusk.
That's the Bromley area of Trenton, it's rather not nice.

ehh its still a few blocks off bromley, and of all the parts of trenton to go, bromley would most likely be my first choice right now....there may be ****heads around but they pretty much go further into the city to do their thing....even scumbags dont like to **** where they eat.

True, just be cautious and have a level head about the whole thing. "An ounce of prevention....."

there are definatley worse areas but like they said put up a good fence alarm system ect.... if the price is right id say go for it cuz i know getting a shop in east windsor or any other area around here for a decent price is gonna be damn near impossible... unless u buy the land and have like a big pole barn put up

that isn't a very bad neighborhood, no worse than any other semi-suburb area.
that is near the border line of where some of the neighborhoods are and some more commercial areas.
if it is where i am thinking of it would be the old state street transmission shop? i will get in touch with a few of my buddies and find out about crime rates in that specific neighborhood. i doubt it is bad.
foff, whitehead is the one that comes off of rt1 and runs down to state street.

Haha my bad....didn't realize there were two different Whiteheads and I wasn't paying enough attention to the street name the other day when I was there.
I'm currently waiting to hear back from one of the guys at the Township Office about being able to use the property for what I want. I'm also gonna take a ride there again next week to talk to the shop next door about the area and so forth.
