Who wants to go to the GMHTP Shootout?

Hey All,

I haven't posted in a while because I have been preparing my turd for the GMHTP Magazine Shootout. I got the invite (better late than never) and am allowed to have 3 people (including myself) at the event.

I have a spot for one more person if anyone is interested in checking it out.
The event is Monday, October 30, 2006 @ 8:30 AM at Raceway Park in Englishtown, NJ.

I finally got to take my ****pile down the track last weekend and ran a 10.30 @ 137 mph on a ****** 60' time on a 175 shot. I am taking it to Cecil tomorrow night to try to get my 60' down to get a 9.xx time slip.

Sorry to hear the 2007 F-body series won't be happening but I will make every effort to attend the other races you guys are having.

Let me know if you want to go to the Shootout and we can make arrangements.

Make sure you come up and say Hi. Look for 2 female racers. One is a smokin' hot friend of mine with a white Trans Am and then theres me who pales in comparison to her but has a faster car. :mrgreen:

How did your car run? Sorry I didn't get a chance to come say hi. I had a limited amount of time to be there. I managed to get 4 passes in in 50 minutes. The track was decent early but went away quick. I went a new best mph but that was about it.

I saw you make some passes while I was waiting for my mechanic to get there with my nitrous bottles. I got started late so I only got 2 passes. First pass was a 10.21 @ 137 babying it off the line. I got stopped at the end of the track because the tech guy claimed I was leaking oil. I was actually leaking tranny fluid. Got that fixed and went up for the last pass. Pulled the rpm's up to 2450 (as far as I could get it without tripping the beam), got my 2 front tires about a foot in the air, came back down and my seat flew back causing me to lose contact with the gas and brake pedal. THAT was my 9.xx pass because my 60' was 1.42. :evil: My time for that run was a 12.50 @ 74. Not bad considering I lost contact with the gas pedal at about the 330' mark. :mrgreen: I am not going out again until the Shootout at E-town. SPEAKING OF WHICH, my mechanic informed me that I was taking one of his crew as my third person so sorry to anyone who wanted to go. :(

Not at this one, looks like they want some heavy moded cars for this event. But I'm always ready for hire..lol
