They will file suit knowing that the other side will have to hire lawyers totaling $50,000- regardless of if they win or lose... just to appear in court.

Case and point I was at the theatre on opening night and guess who was in line waiting for it to open? Figure it out yet??? A bunch of H.S. CHILDREN who probably weren't even old enough to drive themselves to the theatre. SO, I think my children comment fits and yes at 23 I'd say you have a lot of growing up to do.

And I don't plan on going anywhere. 88Iroc, like i said I made a general comment that the movie did not appear to be funny to me and the fact that 90% of the people going to see it can't even drive yet proved to me it was meant for younger immature people. I don't judge people based on one situation, but I do form opinions of those people and if future actions such as the actions in this thread prove me right then I ignore those people because I don't want to be around them.

My opinions were attacked and then I was attacked. So I guess my opinion offeneded people probably because they know it was partly true, and the truth usually hurts. Like I said I'm done arguing people have their own views and opinions I can respect that but I refuse to agree with them just because they want to make fun of my opinion. I wonder why i took them sooo long to sue him. Im pretty sure there was ample time between the actual shot and the release of the movie to file a claim. I may be assuming to much, but im pretty sure that these college kids knew who Borat is. I also wonder why only 2 of them are acutally sueing (sp).



edit: eh, what Im saying is that if i was in a video by some "famous" actor and he had a movie coming out which uses the same character, I would demand to know if i was lied to and what not.
Also, just because the film isn't going to be shown in the US, doesn't mean that it can get in the US somehow.....we have the internet and sites like youtube.

I'm sure there was a great deal of time in between as well. They probably thought it was cool when they were asked to do it, then saw the movie, saw themselves looking like idiots and hired a lawyer or talked to someone and came up with a way to get money for it.

EDIT: Maybe the producers intent was to get them drunk to agree to it all, but they didnt force the drinks down their throats. They chose to drink to that point.
