kid, first off, the transmissions wont match up, so youd need at least to put a V8 trans in as well. obviously to put in the v8 you need to modify the engine mounts or get a v8 k member, but that would be done just to get the motor in. The exhaust would also need to be addressed. throwing on a set of stock manifolds and y pipe isnt hard and in some cases, i think the v8 y will bolt up to a v6 cat back, but in that case you're better off going for an aftermarket catback. Also, in most cars, V8s have a larger radiator for cooling, a v6 rad may not be efficent enough. In 82-02 you wouldnt need to change the driveshaft as long as you stayed with a trans that came factory on a v8 fbody. If v6 was fuel injected and v8 is carb, youd need a pressure regulator. if injected v6-injected v8, it should work, but obviously you'd need v8 engine wiring harness and ecm etc. Rears are all basically the same so that shouldnt be an issue, but most v6 rears are non-posi. And as a plus though, many v6 rears got 3.42 gearing(well almost all v6s i had were) in any case, v6 gearing was for the most part higher than standard v8 gearing. Front springs and shocks are factory designed for a lighten motor, so with a v8 itll sit a little lower. and finally, the engine accesories wont bolt over from a v6 to a v8 so that is another issue to be addressed.

but putting a v8 in a v6 car wont damage anything right away unless its a high hp v8, which woudl just break it anyway if the car was originally a v8 or v6 regardless.
