i just bought a new laptop :) i got a killer deal i couldnt pass up and my old one works at its own will so i figured, why not?
anyone know how i would transfer my music and some programs and stuff over to my new one? would it require a external hard drive?

no, i bought a transfer device that basically uses a usb connection from one computer to another & you can transfer over your stuff pretty quickly...or if its not a ton of stuff a 1 or 2gb usb flash drive wouldnt be a bad idea.

lol to add insult to injury, my sisters is the lesser model of that... but we got it 2 years ago so i guess thats the price yo pay for newer technology :(
my laptop was 249 and is more than enough for me... but i did sit in a mall for 13 hours to get it. If i was more into computers, like i am cars and all, im sure i would have a laptop costing over 1500 bucks lol.

$1500 is still on the cheap side. This laptop (http://www.alienware.com/product_detail_pages/Aurora_m9700/aurora-m_overview.aspx?SysCode=PC-LT-AURORA-M-9700&SubCode=SKU-DEFAULT) starts at $1,500, but is easily optioned to over $4,000 :D
