I have a driveshaft out of a 2000 z28 with a manual trans. Before I go and measure lengths or change yokes n things, I just want to know if this driveshaft will fit my 93 Camaro z28 with an auto trans properly. Thanks.

yes, it will fit. GM = teh lazy and the DS will swap into any 82-02 :)

appreciate the response - i checked it out a bit and the only reason i ask is because the total length including the yokes and u joints, the 2000 d/s is a lil shorter. i was just concerned that enough of the splines of the yoke would catch the tail of the trans

GM shortened up the later driveshafts by about 1/4 inch to compensate for the play the transmissions were seeing behind the LS1. it also worked it out to be a driveshaft the same length as a section of a two piece driveshaft used in heavy duty trucks. :) once again, proving they are teh lazy

sounds good to me - i noticed that the slip yoke on my 93 driveshaft is a little longer than the slip yoke of the 2000 driveshaft . since i have to change the u joints anyway, would you recommend i use my slip yoke on the 2000 driveshaft, since it appears that is where i'd be losing a bit of length, of does it not matter

either one will work fine. i would run the later one jsut because a few grams saved is another drop of power to the wheels. the newer ones aren't any weaker than the earlier ones anyway.

sounds good to me . im probably not transferring as much as i could be to the rear with the steel d/s i have going now . trying to hit 11's and i guess everything little thing will help . thanks
