No problem. Tire sizes are pretty easy to understand.

yeah i use too think that the first set of numbers 255 was how high the tire was and the second number 45 was how wide the tire was...

And the numbers are all nice and everything, but different tire manufacturers tires will spec out to different widths even if they are considered the same size. A Sumitomo 315/35/17 is actually quite a bit narrower than a Goodyear 315/35/17, it's also a heck of a lot cheaper! And a 255/50/16 will measure out almost as wide as a 275/40/17 again depending on the brand.

Tires....is what win the race. When you're racing Indy Car out west...the car weigh half as much, and the tires are twice as wide.........now your car weigh twice as much, and the tires are half as wide, and you're burning them up....

245 = 245 milimeters, 255 = 255 milimeters. um... using grade school math one can easily figure out that 255 milimeters is greater then 245 milimeters. therefor 245 is 10 milimeters narrower then the 255 tire. oo if you use your grade school math again, you can write it such as; 255 > 245.

do i need to dumb it down more, eventho i dont think its possible.

It's before both of your times.

Youll win races if you have a "matched set of tires" on it

Yeah, you need tires that are "matched perfect and staggered special".

And you need winter air in the tires this time of the year. Not summer air.
