View Full Version : people in morrisville PA area....questions
How are taxes in the area? schools? insurance? neighborhoods? etc...
My sis used to live there and it wasnt a bad area then IMO. An incentive was offered to me to stay in the nj/ny/pa area but there are limited choices for what i want, but i did find something do-able there and just wanna look into it.

morriville isn't too great. you will spend as much as living in trenton with a far less compotent police force to rely on.
on the flip side, there are a few good junk yards around :)

Head just a little farther north and you're in Yardley which is much nicer. Don't know about the taxes but people I work with and my brother live in lower Yardley.

yardley is a nice area to consider. still a few places around there that you can get a fairly good sized lot too.

Yep, Yardley is a very nice town. My aunt and uncle have lived there for a loooong time.
well i had found a 5 bed/2.5 bath house with 2 car attached and 1 car detached/workshop for like 360k. all remodeled, but the more i thought about it, i dont need 5 bdrms and the taxes would be more than id like.
Ideally, I'm looking for a 3 bed/2 bath, up to around 350k, garages for 3+ cars, size of property not important. OR a decent 2 family house with 2+ garages in the same price range. Location can be almost anywhere(southern NY, eastern PA, NJ). As of tonight i'm also looking into commercial properties/shops since i'm toying with the notion of actually opening a true business doing parts and performance/installations.
NC is very promising and there were several houses i was ready to make an offer on but the whole job thing is holding me up. lol. Im still set on moving down as soon as i have employment, BUT finacial incentives from my family, could keep me here up north. Either way, im still moving somewhere by mid march.

have you considered the flemington/ringoes/pittstown/lambertville areas?
there are still good sized pieces of land with houses like you describe at pretty reasonable prices. it is a lot quiter up there with much lower crime and property tax rates

actually, there is a house for sale right near bad64's new place that is nice and comes with a good chunk of land. try getting in touch with him. there was a 2 car attached garage i believe, but plenty of land to put as big a pole barn/ steel building as you want. :)

:werd: the people supposedly couldnt afford it and just left, so the bank took it back and its been for sale for years. I have heard that they are looking to just get rid of it at a low price now. its a nice lookin house, and you can choose to buy it WITH of without the 9 extra acres. My dad was thinking about buying those acres and starting a christmas tree farm. wow would the one neighbor love us....the other neighbors, well since its a cemetary, Id be kinda nervous if they started complaining.

hmm, that sounds like it has possibilities, Is there a realtor listed for the property/house?
