anyone here repair computer monitors or know someone who does?? i have a flat screen that is acting up. basically you can turn on the computer & monitor but after like 10 min the monitor shuts down and goes into sleep mode and won't wake back up. i don't know if its overheating or has a short or what. any suggestions??

well that has been a thought. It's a good thing it's an extra monitor. I just hate to throw it out because it is so cool. the Monitor is a flat screen and it tilts back and forth and slides up and down on the arm.

Does another monitor work fine?
Well, my friend moved to florida and did that for a living... might be a overheating issue

yeah other monitors work fine. I considered over heating as well but don't know how to fix.

i had an old monitor that overheated and the picture would get all fuzzy...so i took the rear casing off, took it out in the garage, and drilled a bunch of decent sized holes in it. though you cant really do that  maybe its filled with dust? try blowing it out
