If you remember I posted up a few weeks back that I was worried about losing my job due to some BS that happened. Well, it looks like I won't be losing it as long as I keep my nose clean for a while. I ended up getting a 10 day suspension, which I guess is better than getting fired. it is up to them when they put me out for the 10 days, so I just hope it is when we have some nice weather out, so I can get some work done on the cars. Word on the street is that they really are gonna go after the guy I work with, because he has a rap sheet a mile long. It is gen'l thought that I just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time, so they had to nail me as well if they wanted to go after him. Oh well, at least I'm not out of a job I've been at for close to 19 years. :)

Well, glad to hear that you aren't losing the job. I'm assuming it's a 10 day suspension without pay, so losing the check will suck. But it's a free vacation either way.

This dude has only been on the job for around 5 years, and he has been nothing but a burr under the saddle to management. I could get into some of the trouble he has been in, but I'd be writing for days. A day doesn't go by w/o someone saying to me; "How can you work with that azzhole?"

Yeah, It would be 10 days w/o pay. Which sucks, but like I said, it is better than losing the job. Hopefully they will let me include 4 of my days off in the 10 days, so it really will be like only losing 6 days pay.

see if they will give you a few weeks notice on the suspension and take the wife on a little vaca. after 19 years at the joint you should have no problem proving to them that you aren't the problem if anyone does try to give you grief about it.
best of both

Bob sorry to hear of this. You seem to have the right outlook about getting something positive done with the time. It can be a miserable experiance when there is an azzhole in the work place. I couldnt fill a football field with all of them I met in 25 years as an Automotive Tech. Since my boss got fired two years ago I do not work with any azzholes. Like the Beer Comercials says It Doesnt Get ANy Better than this. I hope it all works out.
