New toy :-)

The people at the trucks saw on Wed night, but I picked up a new (to me) toy..

2002 z28, I call it burgundy, but apparently its true color name is Mystic Maroon Metallic, charcoal leather, t-tops, 6 speed. only 18k miles. Completely stock except for a flowmaster muffler, which i'm told breathes like hell, but does sound quite nice.

The color is AMAZING in the sun, i bumped up the saturation in the pics so you can kind of see it, but still does it no justice.

this is going to stay pretty stock. i think mike's trying to talk me into a lid and probably his catback... but i bought this to be and stay a 'nice' car. I already have a race car, and im keeping my 81 ls1 project going. Dad is probably gonna take my 79. I have plenty of stuff to tinker with, this is a go fast and look good kinda thing. Its my graduation gift to myself. A car loan. :lol:

Odd, every source I've seen with that paint code says Monterrey Maple Metallic. No big deal, either way I'm partial to that color :) Get some polished rims on that thing to make it really stand out. :)

Actually the car is sitting on the 10 spokes since the skinnies are corded. I still have to get tires back on his stock wheels and get back to him though, and then he'll have the 10 spokes for sale (officially).
