Car and Driver
I signed up for this Car & Driver thing called the First Drivers club, and when I joined they were running a drawing for a free gift certificate at any Skip Barber racing school! I got lucky and got drawn out of 500 or so people! (it wasn't rigged I swear) So I get to tear it up for a day! I am really excited to go, but I don't know whether or not to go to Watkins Glen, Pocono, or Lime Rock!

dont go to pocono, pocono sucks, i think youd be more intrested in a real road course.

What's wrong with hauling ass on a tri-oval?

My dad's friend races his '76 vette (all out road course car) at the poconos and a bunch of other places; I've watched videos and they don't look like they "suck" to me and he enjoys it.

I'm not sure which track, I just know those are the nearest tracks and all have Skip Barber schools, so I'm pretty sure I get to pick whatever one I want.

Pocono is Long Pond. Nazareth WAS Nazareth. It's closed now.

very cool. have fun with it. we expect a lot of pictures and at least one story of dropping the tires off the paved surface.

I took the racing course at Lime Rock, and my opinion is to go there too. WHy, 1. it was the first track Skip Barber started his school on, 2. its got a rich history 3. at one point in its history, the turns compund were so bad it was known as one of the hardest places to race in the world, so if you could conquer it, you could race just about any course surface, and 4. its awsome to be p there, so turn your wheel ot the right as well, dont do some stupid trioval, you can go do that in a gokart down at the local fair.

everyone saying that pocono would be racing on a tri-oval...they use the infield as a road course, you dont just drive around the tri-oval. they use the straightaways of the regular track and then you cut back into the infield for the rest of the track.
