i wash thinkin of that but blackouts are much easier lol. and my other car is red so all red ftw

the one thing about blackouts is that cops are a lot more likely to give you a ticket for them if you are pulled over. you are really not allowed to alter or cover any light lense on the car.
the advantage of the spray on stuff is that you can do it on the inside of the lense and just tell the cop that they are factory. odds are he isn't going to know and it will avoid the hassle and ticket you are more likley to get with a snap on cover. :)

I'm pretty much doing the same thing to a spare set of 93-95 tail-lights that I have. A few coats of night-shade over the red, a tint over the reverse, a clear coat, and then buying LED bulbs.

i jsut did the "red taillight mod" this weekend, turned out pretty good (where u take the lenses apart, and paint the orange lenses with transparent red) i jsut gotta buff them

as for the tinted lights, i've read that website a year or so ago,and know someone who tried it; tehy said that the clearcoat started cracking,a nd now the lights look bad.. so im not sure about doing that

just use VHT Nite-shades with clearcoat over it...

3 coats i think, still lit up red, bright enough to see at night with no difficulty. only thing that really suffered was my reverse lights so i put brighter bulbs in them.

its a spray on tail light tint. its like spraypaint but its translucent so light still shines through. dries flat black, then you put clear over it and it looks secksy like my GP above.

on teh thirdgen camaros the cover definately look better. gets rid of all thsoe aweful edges from the taillights being multi piece.
4th gens i think a just that little bit of tint from nightshades looks best. the design is already smooth and you can lay it on so it isn't as dark as a cover.

I'm planning on putting a light shade similar to the pics I posted of it on the blue Z above, and then having some clear coat put on on top of it this year.
