I was at a party a few weeks ago and met some new interesting people. This was in Long island, not that it matters. Anyway, one of the people there told a mutual friend that he was interested in my car and i found out today. Just BS'ing around and i gave the dude the number of 17,500. I only said this high of a number since i didnt think he was serious. Turns out he says that this is fair, and hed prolly give me around 17k for it. Now this isnt a tough decision since i was looking to trade for a new ride anyway.
So, i guess this post really isnty asking any question, but id rather just hear some input
And now the fun part.... CAR SEARCHING

actually, i do have a question... sicne most of you know my car..
being he saw it at night and didnt see the lil imperfections like that tiny crack in the fender.. how low do u think i should go? I cant go too low since im hoping to pay off the loan and still have some money to put towards a down payment on the next ride
BTW.. its the SS

What are the details on the car? How many miles? 17K sounds way high to me so if you have a buyer at that price I would jump on it.

17k is waaaay high, how many miles are on your car? how much is left on your loan? To give you an idea, i just paid just under 13k for my 02 z with only 18k miles on it at the end of january.. granted, thats a stock z not an ss, stock wheels etc but its very low mileage and should give you a base idea...

i have about 54000 miles
and not to give too much away, but yea, if he paid me 17k, id be making a few grand which would really help with some **** i owe and as a downpayment on the next car
I'd try to stay above 15K. the fact that its an 2001 adds to the resale value and its also a true SS with SLP center exit exhaust. good luck with the sale.
