In Glen Rock & Fair-Lawn. If your in the area avoid the major roads & exits off rt. 208 like Russel Ave and Fair Lawn Ave. I narrowly missed one and turned off just in time.

I might drive down to Fort Lee or Edgewater are this afternoon. I'm gonna go outside and wash the car now.

they have a mobile inspection truck...if you have a failed sticker, expired, or if they feel like inspecting your car, theyll do it right there roadside

They do one about once a month at the fire house across from my house. It's main purpose is fundraising, plain and simple.

say you have your car registered as a collector car...would they still do the full inspection or just check the miles? Just a thought.

They'd probably just let you by as long as the triangle sticker is up to date. I have only seen these on weekdays, so most people with a registered collector car would likely not be driving it during that time anyway.

It was around 12-1 in the afternoon.

as far as collector cars go, the mobile inspections i've seen usually have cops there on site. the cops may inspect your vehicle for any violations that the DMV guys can't get you for, such as bald tires, obnoxiously loud exhaust and stuff like that.

What a coincidence....they just set up shop in front of my house this morning! I passed the MVC truck on my way to work, and my GF just e-mailed me that the 'fundraising committee' is out there.
