cheap tires are usually soft compound and don't grip too bad. my buddy pulled a 2.2 60' with a VW on general tires. and then had trouble pulling 2.3s with a pair of high-line tires.

i have nitto extremes on my camaro now but i can't wait to ditch them for a set of Falken Azenis :drive:

and soft compound tires tend to not last that long... i'd be interested to know why you are dumping the nittos, tho. i had them picked for the '87.

i had nitto extremes on the car when i bought it, they sucked as far as traction goes and didnt last long at all
