anyone know what a stock 05 WRX runs?

some kid that i know from high school recently got an 05ish WRX, 5 speed...not an STI or anything, and its stock as far as i can tell. he wants to race me. hes also a ricer, so im pretty sure he sucks at the driver mod. should i accept the challenge?

04's still had the 227hp version, they were good for low to mid 14's..if the kid knows how to drive, he'll have ya covered for the first 1/8th or so, but you should pull him after that

im pretty sure he cant drive to save his life....he was a pretty dumb kid in HS. plus, ill have a new catback/GT40 intake/pulleys by the time we line up

on a race track, the playing field is much more level. you seem to be pretty consistant at the track so I'd guess that you'd take him.

I don't think you'd have trouble with him

He'd probably be a little tougher from a dig obviously cause of the awd, if he can drive then he should pull pretty hard, but you'd catch him.

I would reccommend racing him from a role cause unless he knows how to brake boost which I doubt because you said he can't drive, you should pull on him pretty hard, gotta love the V8 torque.

your car is 5 speed right?

I've raced one before from a 30 roll and beat him pretty dam bad.

Can't seem to find the video but this SRT-4 beat him pretty bad too and heres what I did to that car.

Can't really hear the honks in the video and I spun a little.

im pretty sure i could take him out of the hole too...i ran against a WRX once with my GP and i guess he was a crappy driver, i hung right with him off the line...then he walked me :lol:
