We are working on putting together a few new flyers and promotional posters as well as a photo gallery of all of our official club meets. We would like to collect pictures from everyone to help make sure we have as many memebrs and their cars as possible represented. For the gallery and flyers we just need quality pics of the cars to edit into the formats needed.
Please try to keep the image quality at 300dpi or better for best reproduction.
We also woudl like to start collecting pictures for the 2008 NJFBOA wall calendar. Hopefully by starting now, we cna get even more member submissions and provide everyone with enough time to get more great pics of their cars submitted. There are some guidelines for the calendar submissions. Following the image guidelines does make things much easier and will increase the odds of your pictures being picked.
Please make your images as close to 3375 x 2589 pixels or larger. This results in an image about 11" x 8.5" @ 300 dpi and will produce the best results when printed. Images up to 20% smaller will work but may not reproduce as sharp.
please use this standard when submitting pictures for consideration in the calendar.Calendar submissions shoudl be made by the car owner. If there is a photographer to be credited for the image, please provide that information along with the following:
1. your full name
2. your user handle
3. make/model+trim level/year of your car(s)
4. any specific mods, performance specs, or other pertanent information you think we should know about your car
5. your mailing address(we give a calendar to each owner of a selected vehicle)
please send all pics and information to pics@NJFBOA.org
Any images not following the guidelines or lacking all of the requested information will be disregarded
by submitting your pictures you are giving us permission to use them. so only send us stuff if you are ready to be famous all over teh interweb and beyond

When is the cutoff to submit pictures? And also, when will the pictures be chosen? Will we recieve an email notifying us if our pics made the calender or flyer?

The cutoff will be sometime in the fall - haven't set an exact date yet. Pics will be chosen shortly after the cutoff date and the 'winners' will be notified shortly after they are picked.

I do not have Outlook Express, so I cannot send any pictures over to you. Are any of the pictures in my profile (or FQuick garage) usable? :?:

You don't need outlook express to send pics....what software do you use for emailing?
The pics in FQuick won't work because they will be too small - FQuick resizes them all.

thank you, thank you.
i don't really need a photo shoot, i just need to get off of my a$s and take some pics. i have a decent digital camera now, a Kodak EasyShare C633 with 6.1 megapixels, more size and detail than i really need, but good for outdoor photoshoots around dawn and dusk. and a 256MB san disk (i saw 2GB earlier today at BJ's for $30).
way to support your sponsors, btw... ;)

FWIW - 6 MP cameras generally take pics around a max resolution of around 2816 x 2112, which isn't quite what we need for the calendar. Calendar pics should really be taken with a 7 MP or higher digital camera in most cases......

thanks to everyone who submitted pics for the 2008 NJFBOA Member calendar. lots of great shots and sometimes slightly heatd debate about what crs to feature have narrowed the field. final decisions are not yet made, but it looks like we have a very good mix of gens and models featured.
thanks again everyone and remember, after teh first of the year we start accepting submissions again for the 2009 calendar.
