i received a phone call from a friend that works at mufflex today and was informed that they did a custom 4'' stainless exhaust for some guy in north carolina, and that the guy changed his mind and got a 3'', so now they have a custom 4'' catback for my trailblazer laying in the shop that he said i can get on the cheap...

i like that the trucks quiet, but he says its not insanely loud, and the drones not to bad inside........

opinions please

Do it.....if you end up really not caring for it, you can always go back to stock and sell the catback.

reason for not, is that it is nice being able to leave my house without waking people up......and drive around and be able to listen to music at a normal volume......

Potential con: Still covered by GM Warranty?

Otherwise I'd say do it.

I do believe that it won't void the warranty.

It shouldn't, but dealers can be very bothersome. Perhaps you should ask them.

I wouldnt theres not enough horse power for a 4 inch system, 3 inch is plenty big. you will actually not gain anything from that big the exhaust needs some back pressure. Unless this is some special trailblazer that has a duramax diesel it in. which i doubt. Get a 3 inch system with dynomax race bullets.

um my stock exhaust is 3''...........

i think 400 is plenty of horsepower for a catback, thanks though

Do it, but add a 4" cutout so you can really piss people off! Sounds like it's worth a shot.

i voted no. whats the point in making a daily driver loud? you said it yourself that you like your car being quiet and 400hp is enough. sell it and bag the money

what the hell man, if ur gonna get it cheap y not put it on?

if you dont like it, sell it, it takes all of what, like 2 hours max to put a cat back on... if you dont like it take it off and sell it, theres no lose.

and as for the warrenty, idk about chevy but my dad put a cat back on his 06 f150 and its still covered under the warrenty according to the ford dealership where he bought it.

i forget the bill/law but they are required to go by the warrenty unless they the modification had something to do with causing the failure... ie exhaust would have no effect on power window motor breaking or ac leaking ect... but nitrous could blow the motor so in that case they wouldnt have to cover it
