Ok, looking to put some LED lights in the 72, namely the tail lights.

I was thinking if I should get a clear light, or go for the red light. I think if some of these LED's might be so bright that it will make the rear tail lights look pink??
This one looks good...but EXPENSIVE!! But it uses LED's on the outside instead of strait foward so that the light will bounce off the interior reflector

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/3057-RED-360-LED-BULB-L-E-D-Tail-Lights-Corners-NEW_W0QQitemZ320093815576QQihZ011QQcategoryZ33713Q QrdZ1QQssPageNameZWD1VQQcmdZViewItem

Im gunna have to look and see what kind number they are to get the right ones.
Im thinking of LED's in the dash, but I dont have a big problem with the lighting in there now. Might put amber LED's in the driving lights up front...debating.

I see other ones from other companies. They have ones with 45 LED's, come in a package of 2 in the white for 15.99.

The use of a resistor may be required depending on your car to maintain factory flash speed.

Thought you might want to read that, in case you missed it.

Call these guys, see if you can get pics of their stuff. Their 1st gen stuff is outstanding. It was what AAW was selling under their name.

IMO, the simple replacement bulbs look bad.

I would not go with the ones in the link you posted. Those are way overpriced for what you will get in lighting performance. Take a look at autolumination.com . They offer a much better line of product. I've replaced every exterior lamp on my car with LEDs except for the foglights and headlights, and everything came out great. As a note, always put a red LED behind a red lense and not a white. It will turn the housing pink if you went with white.

As mentioned above, electronic flashers in replacement for thermal flashers are required if you plan on using these LEDs in turn signal locations. I'm not familiar with the wiring on your vehicle so I can't help you much further. Good luck.

Thanks. Yeah, i saw the resistor thing, as well as the flasher thing. I sent someone a PM on nasty who did the flasher mod. He said it was pretty bright. I dunno, never saw pictures. You have to get an LED bulb that will shine against the reflector, not the ones that are mounted on the end...it wont bounce off teh reflector as strong adn make it look dim.

when i put in the LED's i had to switch the blinker flasher and the hazard flasher, on both cars, and it blinks and hazards fine now lol weird

didnt really read the responses but i was looking for the same thing and found this sight.. http://autolumination.com/ i dont no if you saw that one yet or not but yea. there it is. i was looking to get brake light bulbs too but it says "The BRAKER strobes brightly at 20 flashes per second for two seconds every time you hit the brakes.

.........After 2 seconds the lights stays bright as long as your foot is on the brake."

Spaghetti Engineering...sounds like 4 extra's from some Mafia movie who developed an "engineering" team.
They like to "engineer" you some cement shoes. Anyway...209 bucks, I need to see pictures, maybe even a vid, but I am interested.

has anyone ever tried anything like this?
http://www.jcwhitney.com/autoparts/Product/tf-Browse/s-10101/Pr-p_Product.CATENTRY_ID:2012859/p-2012859/N-111+10201+600002840/c-10101/reviewflag-1#review
i saw it in their catelog and i was interested... it sounds kind of pricy but most will agree that third gen taillights are crap, mine are at least. these look like they would spread the light out and make the tails a bit brighter, any opinions?

You would prolly get just as much of an improvement at a lower cost by using a halogen replacement bulb....

Who cares. They will be like 1000x brighter then yours now. I wonder how much more they'd cost if they had to do testing.
