IMO all thats going to happen is a lot of wind the ocean will probily swell up a foot or so, and all the north is going to get is some heavy raind and flash flooding. It'll be a good storm but I doubt its going to be crazy...

We've had a pretty good amount of rain overnight so far. I pulled the boat out of the river yesterday so I wouldn't have to deal with the boat stuck in the trees again like last year's flood.

I got caught in it last night at 11pm driving home from family poker night in Medford Lakes. Thank God I took the drag radials off, heh.

No joke - I just went out and there are honda civics and acura integras scattered all over the highway stranded. Where they were trying to go in these low riders during a flood I don't know but not too bright.

I just ran up to the river to pull the dock in some. The Delaware is up about 4-5 feet so far and will come up another 5-10 feet at least. Glad I decided to take the boat out of the water yesterday!

yeah speaking of boating.. this spring has been horrible for boating... my dad and i havent even been able to get out... this weather will make the delaware impossible to boat in for 2 weeks or so just cuz all the debris

flooding everywhere around here... the 15 minute ride to work took almost an hour because they had to detour the detour if that makes sense to anyone else (rt 130 flooded and then the detour they had flooded so they detoured that) and its probably just gonna keep getting worse glad my truck sits up decently high+-

theres a car that flew off the road and into a little lake on Route 18. its just sitting there bobbing around. every damn road on the way home was closed, i gave up and started driving around the barriers. and to think, a club i'm in at school held a banquet today and i was part of the setup committee so i spent most of my day carrying boxes in and out of the building to and from peoples cars. i think i have ammonia.
eff this i'm going to Noah's house for safety

in the fire service there is a saying "the **** hit the fan" well today in my town, the **** hit the biggest fan ive ever seen realllly fast. most of the houses i was in the toilets were exploding with sewer mains full and backed up...watta mess

Ugh, apapreantly after my first post in this thread the window / weatherstripping never fully sealed. Went otu to plug the drain holes and put some towels down at about 12:30... made sure to dry off the door. Well I go otu to give my mom a ride to work, dont feel like switching the cars around so take the camaro, and the door is soaked all over again.
manual locks / windows FTMFW
EDIT: Hey Mike did you hear about anything major in tenafly last night? mybe by/around the high school? at one point every cop in town plus a fire truck or two came down my street. Also, going to work i go thru bergenfield/ new milford to boulevard, to new bridge, the make the left by the sunoco and take river rd. thru teaneck and bogota, then cross one of the bridges into hackensack... anything super-crazy there I should know about?
edit 2: Power was out from 1 AM till about 32 minutes ago.

It was snowing earlier.

It was snowing and sleeting pretty hard as I drove into work. I also ended up going through a mudslide on my road. I couldn't tell what was in the road until I got to it. Somebody's driveway washed out and all the dirt/rocks ran across the road. The SS is like a 4x4, I've been going through everything the last 2 days!

Tossed the Jeep in 4wd on my way to work this morning. Most roads on my side of Ewing were covered in about 1/2" of sleet, and my tires blow.
Fortunately Kare's office was closed, otherwise I was gonna give her the Jeep and take her Mustang to work. That would have been a fun ride.

Yep...still looking for that storm.
Hung out with the gf all day yesterday. After the intial post, I went to her house in prep for going into the city, but that didnt happen. Woke up at like 2, made some breakfast, watched some movies, made dinner, watched TV, went to bed, woke up for work...here at work.
Yeah, its wet. Yeah, there were big puddles. Is it that bad? Apparently outside of my area, it is. My brother had to go to NB store today for a 930 meeting. Left at 730, which would put him at the store at no later then 815....he got there at 11. Apparently 18 is closed after Rt1, and parts of Rt 1 is closed as well. He got to the meeting, and was told to go home cause he was late. He said he almost took the guys head off with a golf club....
Anyway, at work and its ******** dead. And I have to close.

I saw lots of closed roads around me, the fire department is pumping water out of basements all over town, and I saw a sunk box truck, water up to the doors. And the creek behind the strip mall by me is way overflowing and water is up to the back of Risoldis Grocery store..
And it is very windy.
But I managed to make it to Meyers Speed Shop, McDonalds (gotta feed the kids), Ace Hardware (who ran out of sump pumps - I heard 3 people ask in 10 minutes) and Advance Auto (who strangly had the spark plug heat sleeves on the shelf that Meyers did not). Olds Power!

between sunday afternoon and tuesday morning i did 225+ fire calls. my dept went to lyndhurst, hackensack, new milford, river edge and hilsdale with our dive team. we were on ch11 and ch2 news lol
the other calls were all for utility shut downs when the basements flooded, some pump outs, smells of gas and smells of smoke
