for me anyways. I'm really beginning to hate my car. First pass it rpm hung(same old problem) half way through the 60. You have no idea how frustrating it is to have this car and all it's power and not be able to get a claen run out of it. Anyways, here is the slip

60 - 1.675
1/8 - 7.548 @ 93.42
1/4 - 11.762 @ 118.54(atleast I got a new best mph)
http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n81/Jersey_TA/?action=view&current=Jersey_TA1.flv (http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n81/Jersey_TA/?action=view&current=Jersey_TA1.flv)

The next pass I let a friend(Kelsey) drive it because I was so pissed off after my first run that I didn't care who drove it and guess what??? no rpm hang what so ever. Atleast there were a few guys there I know to take my mind off the runs.

60 - 1.647(launched at 2000 rpms)
1/8 - 7.269 @ 95.27
1/4 - 11.385 @ 120.07(she pretty much kicked my ass)
http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n81/Jersey_TA/?action=view&current=Kelsey113.flv (http://s110.photobucket.com/albums/n81/Jersey_TA/?action=view&current=Kelsey113.flv)

The next 2 runs were spin shut down, and rpm hang spin let off. The track went away after an old malibu wrecked. The track lost all it's heat after that. So my luck this year completely sucks. Who knows when I can get to the track next to try and beat my 11.40.

There is a difference. I will NEVER claim someone else's time in my car. It was ran in my car yes, but it wasn't me driving so I have no business claiming it.

I don't know. I actually went to see Lanse run, but he never ended up going so I just ran the T/A. I didn't really make a big deal about going because until I get this rpm hang probelm figured out I don't want to waste anyones time coming down to watch when my car performs like ****. If that makes any sense.

So how busy was the track? I talked to Sean (93Fastbird) last night and he had taken his T/A to the track in St. Lous, and he said he had been waiting for 3 hours and there was still a line about a half mile long in front of him!

They had 4 lanes of street cars. Yeah GIR usually gets really busy. Tell him to go early.

I'll pass along the info to him. Hopefully in another month when I have my Camaro here it won't be as busy (not likely, I know). I hate going when its totally packed, and you only can get a couple runs in per night.

Good luck next time with your car. I think we've all been there at least once where our car didn't perform like it should at the track.

Here's an example of mine at atco last year when my inlet tube to my blower was collapsing as I was doing runs at Atco. The second run it was doing fine until I hit 3rd gear and the tube collapsed and almost stalled the car

what is your car shifting at? whats the limiter at?

i wonder if by dropping the shift points 200 rpms would help that problem??? couldnt hurt to try.

I might try that. Last time I tried to the manual shift thing I went consistant 11.6s and .7s lol. We'll see. I have a few things I'm fixing this week then I'm going to do some test runs a "track" near my house lol.

that would be crazy if they are still there!!

and the difference in weight wont affect the times that much.

I dont think u get as good of times when u manually shift an auto.

Usually, that's correct. There are times when you can benefit from shifting manually though.

w/ his rpm hang that hes having, maunally shifting it will make it run through the rpms and run through the "hanging area" cause the thrans knows that at that point it cant just shift into 2nd and make it run up to either the liimiter or him shifting it.

my car runs consistent 11.0s when i leave it in gear and let the tranny do the work... i never hit them right if i try to shift myself. i need a 12bolt so i can spray out the hole instead of at the 60ft mark.

Everytime I tried shifting my car I run slower. I can't shift it as fast or as well as the computer. I pretty much figured out what is causing the rpm hang. Apparently my car doesn't like stalling up the convertor.
