looking to get an 86 T/A but he says the drivers headlight doesnt come up is this an easy fix? And how much would it cost? And passenger headlight bracket is broken. same question. Thanks

Well, either the headlight motor is bad, or the gear is just stripped. If it's just the gear, you can take the motor apart, flip the gear 180* and it'll work fine for a while (until the gear is stripped again). There is also someone who makes brass replacement gears.

Not sure exactly how easy it is to swap motors, but I don't think it's too difficult.

its a pretty easy fix not matter which rout you go, even just repalcing the entire assembly. ive sold working pairs of full assemblies for around $75.

not a big deal to replace the motors or the plastic clutch assemblies. Take the whole unit out and work on it on a bench. There is an outfit that makes brass replacements for the units. Google and see what you get. FYI, the internal parts are the same as on the Pontiac Fieros.

I think the entire motor is the same as the Fiero's just swapped side to side.

thanks for all your help, unfortunately it was sold a day before i was able to get there. If anyone knows someone with an f-body for under $4000 let me know ,thanks Matt
