I don't blame them, and I do appreciate the way they spill the dirt that goes on in this Godforsaken state we live in.

my problem with the jersey guys is that they always rattle on trying to sound like experts. anyone who reads a newspaper or watches the evening news can tell that these two numb nuts never make it past the headlines to find out any actual information.

some state police guy has a problem with them and released their personal information (home adresses and phone numbers) in a press confrence.......they are protesting by refusing to go on the air untill they receive a formal apology and gauranteed safety

They were talking on the radio the other day about staties on 295 out in 4x the normal force they would be. They opened up this whole thing about how Staties were out in increased patrols to pull over speeders on the interstate roads.

and? they do it every otehr month. whats the big surprise?
i don't see why any cop would care if they goon teh air or not. it would make more sense to me to sue. legal moves always get a quicker response than picking up your marbles and going home.

This (http://www.thnt.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070502/NEWS/70502009) is why. Davey Jones released their street addresses, make and models of their cars and tag #'s in an attempt to invoke retaliation against them.

The Jersey Guys are generally supportive of the NJSP, but they are critical when it's warranted. This was especially the case when Trooper Higbey ran a stop sign in SJ at high speed with no lights or sirens, and killed 2 teenage girls when he hit the van they were driving. The Trooper in question was initially only issued a careless driving ticket after an "internal investigation". After much pressure by the media, and especially the JG's, the investigation was broadened and he has since been indicted on other charges. If it was you or I that hit them, we would've been locked up on the spot.

On the other hand, they have been supportive of the Trooper driving Corzio during the crash.

Yeah, but you dont have the almighty badge to live above the law.
I have had 2 run ins with the law today.
#1- Coming home from my gf's house, driving the speed limit, the cop makes a left turn to follow me, despite his blinker going right. He then follows me so close that I can count his blackheads on the tip of his nose from my rear view mirror. He then follows me that close, which IMO must take great skill and much practice, till I turn off into my neighborhood.
#2- Driving to work in the 72, cop blips his horn and she tells me to pull over as soon as I cross over the intersection. I pull over, she then stops...then pulls up next to me to tell me she made a mistake, she thought my registration was expired. She then starts to hassle me about my QQ plates and why Im driving it. I told her Im taking it to Sears for service. She then starts to ask me how I got 12 points. Good thing I left early for work today.

That is flat wrong and he should have to deal with consequences. If he used police resources to get that info, has he broken any laws?

They opened up this whole thing about how Staties were out in increased patrols to pull over speeders on the interstate roads.Hey, I counted no less then 9 troopers on 195 on Sunday, between rt 9 and r130 (~20 miles). A bit over the top, IMO. I used to make that ride down 295 from hamilton to voorhees everyday, and there were days where the road was crawling with troopers. Overkill, IMO.

People ought to complain about troopers tailgaiting at 80+. They will fly up the back of a car and stay 12" from the back bumper until the car moves. Very dangerous. I see it at least once a week.

All that said, I'm no JG fan. Who cares.

They're not tailgating, they're drafting

"A couple of cowards obviously compromised it, and when I find out who those Girl Scouts are I'm going to crush 'em like bugs."

That's a comment from Davey Jones on the troopers who gave out the info from the message boards. This guy is nothing more than a typical union goon, and he's seething that the rank and file was thinking and making decisions for themselves. He is now being investigated by both the AG and the NJSP.
