i went outside jumped in my truck at 1:55 am and saw a ticket on my windshield the ticket was for parking on the side walk, first thing my truck was parked inside my driveway with the ass on the sidewalk a little bit, i went driveing around at 2 am i found the j-off cop that wrote me the ticket and started argueing with him, why did he write the ticket because hes a scumbag, he said go to court and argue with the judge ,i should win the case you know why, if someone slips and falls on the side walk whos responcible the owner of the house who gets sued the owner of the house ,who has to cut the grass or the town gives them a ticket who has to clean the snow thats on the sidewalk when it snows not the town, which makes the side walk my property so all the cop did was tress pass on my propety and harass me by giveing me a ticket

Sucks but it's true. Sidewalk and curb are also town property yet yes you get the responsibility for them

Unless you can somehow prove that your vehicle wasn't blocking the sidewalk at all at the time that the officer wrote you the ticket, you might as well just pay it and move on with your life.

Yea the town actually owns the sidewalk and part of the property usually depending on how much Right-of-Way they have in that area.
But I agree, pay the ticket and forget it, it would probably cost you more anyway for having to take off from work to go to court.

Nj Codes in my town say 12ft in from the curb is public property, you are not supposed to have plants, brick walls, mulch, cars, or whatever else within that area!

The cops down here would rather me park on my sidewalk - i live across the street from one of their police stations- so by me parking on my sidewalk (that is my driveway into my garage) it gives them more room to park on the street :)
I dont think your going to have a winning case if you try to fight that one. I would just pay it - ur going to waste more time and money in court costs then it's worth.

sounds like a case of the bored cop "doing his job"
unless you do this all the time, you have every right to be mad, but unfortunately your still at fault. just pay the ticket and watch where you park
