Why not? I watched them put the car on the trailer, was quite a sight. I think the one blower is a dummy though, but I could be wrong!

thanks Rich...yeah it was a long month before the show fighting all the gremlins that kept attacking the car but it made it, and it came back better than when it left here. Ill be there in the fall and spring from now on as long as I can make it.

I have a Pontiac mag featuring that GTO. Both of those blowers are functional, according to the article.

but it didn't have a blower???? WTF??? and there really is no point to having 2 blower besides just to go "hey look at me...I need to compensate"

That GTO is what I lke to call a Two-stage Supercharger setup, and its been done before....before pre world war II that is. the Mercedez Bez W154 had a V12 two stage supercharger system, and made 450HP, and hada top speed of 190mph. Some came with superchargers for each bank, but The one I saw had the 2 stage setup. They also took a couple chassis, and puta full body on them, and ran them on the autobahn to make the speed record. The engone was a 3.0L to conform to Grand PRix regulations, so for a pre war 3 litre V12, those were some serious pre war numbers. And after the war, they were used again, and were still winning races. their also known as Silver Arrows. Tho the more famous silver arrows were of the 1950's as full bodies races cars competing agains open wheel cars and were awsome.

Not even you ron could be able to handle a W154, so dont be blahing that. Half the cars I know and seen would make you think differently.

How do you make somebody who is very close minded think differently my friend? Tell me that and i will be impressed! LOCOMOTIVE SUPERCHARGED CARS FTW!!!!!!!!! Hey, when your W154's can pull a wheel off the ground by simply revving the engine, get back to me lol.

Well that is quite a problem having someone with a close mind, that means you dont give things a chance, to bad for you on that one, and thats all their good for is a nice wheelie show, and then what. Not to mention the constant blowing of head gaskets, and why did you even bring up the subject of loco supers, when have you driven a car with one? and lastly, the retail price of the car. 40 years from now that car would be worth what, 200,000 maybe 500,000 if it was that unique. Try 10,000,000 for a W154, holds its price dont you think ;)

dude, locomotive supercharger on a car dude. dude dude dude.. Thats Priceless! and tops the petty W154.. And let me say this before the mods do- this is getting off topic. if you wanna talk about how awesome W154s are, start a thread about it, and i'll start a thread about locomotive-supercharged cars :)
