Inspired by the ‘songs that suck’ thread, I thought I’d introduce this little potentially ongoing thread. There is a similar thread at a music site I hit a lot, and the thing has been going for a long time. Post up whatever you are listening to. Keep replies strictly on-topic, please – and no negative comments (‘they stink’, etc.). If you don’t like what someone posts up, let it go. But feel free to ask questions about cds/artists, etc. We found it is a good way to find out about music you normally might not have considered or known about.
Right now, I got this rocking old school:

I like about everything minus country and hard rap. I normally listen to shuffle or 1st wave on Serious radio.
I've given up purchasing CDs recently, every time I do my daughers steal them! The most collected (stolen) were AC/DC, Collective soul and DMB.

As a music teacher, I listen to almost everything. In the Jeep right now is a mix CD I burned of early '70s electronic music - basically, it's the precursor to techno.
And, on the PC, is RX Bandits. One of my students played me a few tracks by them, and they're awesome. It's like a punk version of Chicago; great harmonies, great horn players and awesome guitar riffs.

Good VH boots are few & far between, which is a shame. To bad EVH is nuts, he is sitting on some nice DLR era stuff. Full pro-shot Fair Warning tour, for instance - anyone remember the early days of MTV when Unchained & So This Is Love was in heavy rotation? Hit me back in the winter, I plan on cleaning up my library, and I have some decent VH stuff laying around.
UBG Warning: DLR era VH live is very loose & messy. DLR is not a note-for-note singer. Not even close.
IMO, the Sammy era is much tighter and musically tight, and Sammy is by far the superior singer – but DLR is a better showman. I would never classify DLR as a singer.
