i was a a truck stop in alabama and i got out of my Truck and i saw it on a car carrier and i never had known and about a comp T/A and this is what i found out about them when i got home!!........The Comp T/A is basically a silver Trans Am given the Firehawk alteration and a dark gray stripe reminiscent of that on the 25th Anniversary Trans Am. Instead of Firestone tires, BF Goodrich Comp T/As are wrapped around the wheels and the hood is quite obviously from a WS6, not a Firehawk. Only 72 were built in '95 and they were planning on filling out production with 128 in '96 for a total of 200 cars but it never happened. Only something like 45 were built with another 47 in '97.

WOW i just found some more info on the comp T/A....Unlike most manufacturers, Pontiac has never shied away from producing or backing low-volume, high-output versions of its mass produced ponycar. From tuner jobs like the lingenfelter Hurst `bird and SLP Firehawk to in-house hot rods like the WS-6 and `89 Turbo T/a, Poncho fans have rarely been more than a checked option box away from owning their very own made-to-order musclecar classic. With a total production of only 164 units, the 1995-97 Comp T/a is one of the rarest of these birds, and the story behind its journey from conception to production is no less extraordinary than the car itself.Production was turned over to SLP, the aftermarket tuning firm that had been morphing factory-stock Formulas into hyper-fast Firehawks since 1992. SLP opted to go with a slightly more conservative charcoal-over-silver paint scheme, along with a narrower center stripe (its actually a version of the one used on the 1994 25th anniversary cars) and a set of wheels from italian manufacturer Speedline. The cars were essentially Firehawks in T/a trim, with the same available exhaust and suspension upgrades, Hurst shifters, Mobil synthetic lubricants, and standard ram-air induction setups. They also got custom-stitched Comp T/a headrests and floormats, along with an assortment of exterior badges and a numbered center console plaque.A production run of 200 was planned, but logistical snafus ranging from a truckers strike to threats of secession by officials in Quebec ( where SLP's production facility is located) conspired to keep the total count down to 164. NOTE: there was an additional preproduction vehicle manufactured in 1995 that is not included in the official number. Dubbed #00, it was used by SLP as a press and photo car and was eventually given to Jim mattison after production ceases in `97. The Comp T/a option was $7000 (it dropped to $4000 in `96) so the car was almost $35,000
Comp T/a Production Figures
1995 `72 produced (48 6-speed,24 automatic, 42 w/T-tops)*
1996 `45 produced (16 6-speed,29 automatic,35 w/T-tops)
1997 `47 produced (30 6-speed,17 automatic,40 w/T-tops)
All cars were Silver with Graphite leather interiors *Pre-Production car "#00" is not included in this figure

They we also originally supposed to be more of a race version of the Firehawk as well with no stereo, a/c, or heater but I guess that never happened.
