as the title says, i really hate poison ivy. i have it on the inner part of my elbow(dont really know what else to call it). it started out as two little blisters early in the week. i new exactly what it was so i never scratched it. now it is about 4 inches long and about 2 inches wide. this really sucks. im going to have to make a doctors appointment on monday. oh well this is my little rant. sorry

if you look in the frug store there are cheaper versions

Haha, I wouldn't want to put gas on an open wound.

What I do is wipe it down with a rag of bleach or gasoline everyday as long as it isn’t bleeding. It is supposed to dry off the oil from the Ivy that’s on your skin. Works all the time for me…

i had it real bad last summer, i didnt really know what it was at first cuz i couldnt see it. so like a dumb a$$ i kept scratching it until my brother looked at it and said it was poison ivy. i had it on both of my legs, all over one hand and i think i had it on my arm too. i found this on the internet while i was searching for home remedies: get the shower water really hot (nearly scalding, as hot as you can stand it), get in the water and focus the stream on your poison ivy (well since its on your elbow, you could probably do it in the sink), supposedly the hot water releases the histamine or somthing, but whatever happens it feels really good, almost euphoric, and it will relieve the itch for a few hours. a shot from the doctor makes it go away in a few hours though.

yeah i always do the hot water thing it makes it feel amazing but as soon as you pull your arm out the itch coems back and aparently its not to good for skin scalding hot water

I'm not allergic to it either. I've been in it many times and never gotten it. It looks sucky to get. good luck with it.

i went to the doctor hoping to get the shot but he said that it was bad enough to require a shot. so he gave me some pills and cream. it seems to be under control now. it doesnt really itch to much any more. and it hassent spread anymore.

funny this gets mentioned, I just got it about a week ago, had a bunch of nice patches, even got a minor amount near my eye. Fun, fun, fun!
