yeah man, 3rd gens had disc brakes. ive had those before. but for discs u will need the proportioning valve and different emergency brake lines, i think the booster is the same.

3rd and 4th gen rears are interchangeable, the 4th are just 2" wider on each side. I have a 9 bolt 3rd gen rear posi disc brakes but 2.77 gears only. and to find a 3rd gen rear with 3.73s is very rare.

I got one on my car :P

I have a 9 bolt posi disk rear for sale off of a third gen trans am, if you want it. $250 not sure of the ratio cause Iv never had it open, but the disks were just cut and it looks new.
