Well i hate to do it, but my circumstances leave me no option...for the first time since i've been able to drive, i'll be without an f-body car...:-?
up for sale is my 1996 pontiac trans am...just over 82,000 on the odometer...these are the actual miles, with a clean title...there is about an average amount of wear on the vehicle, the front bumper needs to be painted due to my dumb ass friend driving over me in his pickup...there is a fiberglass hood, it is brand new, it isn't on there all the way, it needs to be shimmed, and i'm pissed off and dont wanna do it...it has been blocked, primed and ready for paint, there are however 2 small cracks, they might be surface cracks though, i'm not sure...i also have the old hood, wich is actually brand new, but it was hit, and has a small amount of damage..but is easily fixed if you want it...
LT1 motor, runs strong, no oil burn that i know of, but it leaks out the rear main...i have been smelling coolant lately, dont know were it is coming from, i know the water pumps on these start to go around 90,000 or so...so it could very well be that...the car is a six speed, it shifts like it has about usual wear on it...the clutch is about 30,000 miles old, and i baby the hell out of it....the car has never been brought to the track, the only other mods to the car other than the hood, are a k n air filtler, and a skip shift mod...thats it...bone stock...
The interior is in above average condition, the seats are great, there is a small tear in the driver rug were my foot rests when i'm driving...the 6 speed plastic piece that holds downt he boot is garbage, i was going to buy one from a member but decided to sell the car instead...
The car has t-tops, the whether stipping is in average shape, and the passenger side has a small leak, only in downpours...or when i'm washing the car and spraying in the same spot...
Tires are brand new, well about 3 k on them or so...i have the recipt if needed...both head light motors have been replace aboutd 5000 miles ago the passenger side rear tail-light lens is cracked, still functions, i have a piece of clear tape over it, you cant even tell its really there...
thats about it, if you have any questions please let me know, i know it sounds like there is more negatives than positives, but you gotta think that it is a straight car, with a good title...with low miles...and i dont think what i'm asking is that unreasonable...as soon as i get some pics i'll get the on here...but that is the car in my little signiture thing...only with a different hood...
I'm asking 5500 obo...this is my baby, the one my wife bought me when we first moved in together this is really hard for me to sell, so if your not going to be coming close to 5500, leave me alone please...if i get no hits on this in a couple days its going on ebay...but as always i post on here first...
