Today at work (Sam's Tire Center) I had an older hispanic woman walk in the shop(theres a sign on the door that says "Attention: this area is OFF LIMITS to members to ensure saftey and service quality" its 2ft x 4ft and bright blue and white), tapped me on the shoulder as says "is my car done ready yet". So I nicely said please wait in the waiting area when its ready I'll bring you the keys"..."I want to know now" "MAM...BEFOR I CALL SECURITY PLEASE WAIT IN THE WAITING AREA!!!!!!" at which point I opened the door and pointed Inside...were she then stood with her face in the window. I pulled in a different car and worked on that untill she went away, then put the last tire on hers and got her car outside, went in gave her the keys and like a retarded hamster, "can I leave through that door "..........NO...........you can't........go around like every one else" after complain about walking that far she left, and I went back to work. Five minutes later I see her come around for it IN ANOTHER CAR!!!!!!! so It was a mute complain cause she wasn't even walking....then I had a guy call a manager cause appearently 15min was too long for a 4 tire install on a full size Dodge 3500 with 35in tires.

nope...BUT who expects 4 big azz tires mounted in 15 minutes, and he had one of those goofy azz wiper cowls on the truck so i couldn't see the lift...or the guy guiding me in.....so he said I can't drive, so INFRONT OF A MANAGER I said "exuse me but I'm not the one who has 2 flats and 2 dented rims from hitting a curb

some people just don't get it or have an understanding of how long things should take. If I take my car to a place, I always tell them I am a nut with my car so forgive my behavior (i'm that jackass standing at the bay lol). However, I never want to rush a person working on my car because that will most likely lead to things getting screwed up. I'm very patient and then...if its clearly not then I cause a problem.

I needed my trans fluid CHECKED so I was mulling over taking it to a place since again...I don't really trust anyone. So I finally decide to take it to a local STS (have seen a couple decent rides there) and talk to the people and let them know my mental disorder with my car. I had brought the fluid so all I really needed was access to a lift so the car was level to check the fluid properly. I ask if they want me to pull the car in but the guy assures me that he can drive stick so I say alright. Sure enough he stalls it twice getting it into the garage...beautiful. Then they assign this girl who obviously has very little experience working on cars to jack up my car and check the fluid. Suffice to say I watched and had to stop her before she was ready to jack it up because she had the feet in wrong damn place. I fixed that and the car was lifted. She then needed to ask me where this bolt was to check the fluid (I explained this 3 times prior to the car being in the air). I showed her the bolt and I needed to loosen it for her because it was too tight for her. Fluid was ok so the car was lowered and I pulled the car out this time. I figured this would cost me 5-15 bucks for a lift fee since nothing was even done really. I walk in and the guy says "ok that will be 39 bucks". I say "for what??" and he replied it was for 30 min of work. I said what happened there should not have taken 30 min and 15 at the most. Also, why the hell am I paying mechanic rates for a woman who has no mechanical knowledge? He didnt argue but I threw them a few bucks and was on my way.

Moral of the story, I tried to stay calm and patient but everytime I go to a place it doesnt work out. Long story but it was a prime opportunity to tell it.

I'm a big boy and only have two jack stands with a crappy little jack. Kinda freaks me out to get the car up like that with me under it.

People suck, plain and simple. One of my first jobs was working at Rickels. I hated it because most people are rude and impatient, Once in a while you actually got a nice person. And helping them would be a joy. I said to myself never again would I work in sales.

YEA I hear ya on that, advance auto is were most of mine is from....not bad stuf..but not top notch lol. hell I'm even goona do the cam bearings myself now too. Not the best plan but Its the satifation of doing it yourself, especially if I break the N/A 3.4 F-body record(15.0).

Besides that...I've been at Sam's for a month and I'm already better than most the guys there...we sell optima bateries and the counter guys tell the customers the energizer is just as good WTF!!!!!. they don't know that you cant lift a truck from the leaf spring mount, because when the spring decompresses it rotates almost enough to make the truck slip off(hapened 2 days before I started...and they don't know why), they don't know that new ford explorers have internal presure sensors that AREN'T in the valve stem...they put standard stems on load D tires...I'm the new guy and I'm showing guys stuff that have been there for years. It took every guy in the shop to figure out why a 94 golf had an iratic idle...it took me 30sec to find the vaume line that wa leaking and another 5 to fix it...I did chassis work for on guy who no-one could figure out why he had a shim in the wheel took me 2 mins to find his LCA bolt in the plastic cover, and these are employees cars(we only do tire/batteries)...the guys I work with are not techs by any means ther tire guys...thats it...they make the autobone retards look like ASE master techs
