i have a nut stuck in the closed end of my 14mm box wrench. i tried all my ideas... lets here yours:

just keep throwing it around and slamming it into stuff and slamming screwdrivers etc into it.... eventually soemthing'll happen

Use the two socket method. You need a vise, a socket larger than the box end of the wrench, and a socket smaller than the box end. It is easier if you have someone to hold stuff while you are setting this up.

Take the large socket and hold it against one side of the vise jaws (with the drive side of the socket against the vise). Then press the box end of the wrench against the socket, holding it in place. Make sure that the nut can freely pass into the large socket. Then hold the small socket against the nut, and tighen the vise down.

The end result is that the small socket should press the nut out of the wrench and into the larger socket.

i tried that. i was so sure it would work. no dice. i tried heating it up and that got it to budge at best. this is one stubborn nut!

yeah but my vise sucks balls. and i ran into another problem, i lost the wrench :lol:

Jake what ever happened to this wrench...did it fly across the street...err i mean into the field behind the house, because thats what happens to some of mine :lol:

lol i still can't find the wrench.... but then again, it looks like the craftsman section of sears threw up in my garage :)
