Hit another deer...again at 50mph, but this time was on my brand new cbr1000rr.
My leg/ankle hurts like hell, and my neck is sore. Passenger broke her arm, may require surgery. Pics to follow...

Feel better, and best wishes for a quick recovery! I've hit 3 and grazed a 4th, and this is my #1 reason for not getting a bike. I couldn't imagine hitting one a bike.
oh damn that really sucks man, i hope u both feel better soon.
up north by me, deer arent that big an issue. being almost completely built up in my area has it benifits i guess.

That blows. Chevelle Jon & I were talking about deer last night. I was dropping him off at his house, when we turned onto his road there was a stupid doe. Hate those things.
I hope your passanger & you recover w/o issue.

OMG! Dude, we were just joking on My Space about the new bike and all too.
Deer and car altercations are bad enough but deer and bike, very BAD combo. :(
Hoping for a fast recovery for you both.

Holy crap man....
thanks for all the kind words...im more upset that my passenger is in the condition shes in right now more than anything...her arm is pretty f***** up and we didnt get back from the ER until 4 am and the accident happened at 11:30
as for me i cant lie on my left side and pressing the clutch pedal in the neon sends a sharp pain up my calf but ill be ok
the frame/drivetrain of the bike seems like itll be ok since the frame slider did its job but its still going to need all new plastics, two headlights, a new slider, clutch lever, shifter pedal, the whole front fairing setup(lights, air intake etc) needs to be rebuilt and even the rear fairing got scratched up
well if you need a hand, ive rebuilt several bikes before and done considerable plastic repairs as well, just let me know

I'm really sorry to hear about all this, Jon. I've hit a deer before, but can't imagine what it must be like to hit one on a bike. Hope you and your friend get better soon.

Looks like mostly cosmetic parts on the bike were trashed. Def let me know if you need a hand putting it back together. As for yourself and your rider, rest up and I got plenty of beer to take the pain away if needed. If the damn deer didn't die I would have walked over (if able to) and broken its freakin neck.

the Barbieri family is at your disposal if you need anything...something along the line of every deer in NJ catching some bizarre disease and they should all happen to perish from it...naturally of course
:NOTE: The preceding message does not in anyway indicate the one John Anthony Barbieri is in anyway associated with the so-called world of "Organized Crime." He is simply an Italian business man who simply likes to wear suit every where he goes simply to look his best in front of his peers, who, by coincidence, are also clad in suits of a similar nature, as they all feast on pastries and espresso and talk about their latest business ventures, such as strip clubs, betting houses, brothels, waste management, restaurants, automotive stripping and reselling, etc.

Ouch, glad to see your ok...
i just did an oil change on a 04 600RR today, honda has a very complicated way of mounting their fairings, but they seem to be solid bikes. congrats on getting those plastics... now gotta get the wheels. lol
I think a new nickname has been born for you: Mr. j0n deere lol
In all seriousness, I hope you and your passenger have a speedy recovery. Deers suck. And its weird, in PA, the deers know better than to cross the road. They actually wait for the car to pass by, then they look both ways and cross. Its amazing. I had it happen with me each time I went to visit someone in PA. And thats the truth.
i need to move somewhere with no deer
i need to move somewhere with no deer
just shoot them all next season?
