w00t!

i have talked to them a few times. hopefully they will have some facilities to visit next spring, dunno what the time frame is on the actual road course though. seems like they are still seeing some delays cause of the neighbors and stuff.

they are trying to have events on the track by the end of next year, and everything should be done by 2011.

How is that going to impact Atco?

And having it near the airport is a good location. Sound of jets and top fuel cars roaring down pavement. :)

Or is this just a road course / circle track? (with little impact on Atco)

Its a 4 mile road corse, a 3/4 mile tri-oval, and karting tracks. And it will also have a motocross track.

Also I hope it will support vintage festivals so Rolex can maybe sponser it and I can run the tent there!!!

you dont have to be a member of the track, you can be tho. if you go there w/ a series itll be fairly priced to race say maybe 100 bucks to run in 2 races or so

100bucks, stil worth it. Its great to finally see NJ have a track ( besides atco and englishtown) to really bring in som big league racing leagues.

it's actually more along the lines of that I live RIGHT by where they are putting this place... Not really into traffic/noise in a once "quiet" area.

BlackBADaSS02

I live right around the corner, less than a mile from where they are building the track. I have been looking forward to this since they first said they were going to build it in Millville. I can deal with the traffic and noise. It will bring some excitement to boring Millville.

and lotsa traffic. they better continue route 55 down to there. they also better build that place union. so i can work there :) i heard a rumor floating around that they would incorporate a 1/4 mile strip into that track. like put it on the str8away, like the old vineland track.

On top of that-

People bitch about tech at drag strips? At road courses they will give your car a body cavity search to make sure you are safe.

if theirs are anything like mine (i know the teamsters are), you have to know someone/be related to someone to get it. they say theyre equal oppurtunity employers, but thats a load of ****. its not what you know, its who you know. its not right, but unless there is a huge change, theres nothing that can be done about it.

i bought my TA.....actually both of them.....way before i started pipefitting. but there arent many more jobs out there that pay as well, or have the same benefit package as unions. people think they have 'real jobs' when theyre slaves to a company, on salary, working forced overtime for FREE.....they have no idea what a real job is and have no idea what it is to have a say for yourself, being a worker.
