I've got a 99 Camaro 3.8, and the pinion bearing is shot... I figure since I'm getting into it, I'd change all the bearings/shims/races (including the axle bearings) -- but, I can't find a mfg. that sells this as a one kit.

if anyone can give me a reference, I'd greatly appreciate it.

Try calling JS Perfomance (a sponsor, see tab on right-->). He might have them.

thanks to all who replied...

Josh -- I went with a Ratech kit from Summit, which contained pieces from Timken/Koyo/and other OEM suppliers, so I don't know why you'd say bad things about Ratech.

oh, and it turns out I did not need a new Ring & Pinion as you suggested

is it back together?

AND

I never said that you had to replace the ring and pinion, just that if the pinion bearings were shot bad enough, they could allow the pinion gear to move around and cause a bad wear pattern. Then you would have to replace the gearset to fix it and that would call for new bearings again. So I was just giving you a heads up with information based on my personal experience..

Just because they have decent bearings does not mean the whole kit is good..
